14 God said to Moses, “I AM that I AM.” And he said, “You must say this to the Israelites, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 God also said to Moses, “You must say this to the Israelites, ‘The LORD—the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. “I AM” is the set up (pre-fix) for many other Compound Names/Titles for God; “I AM ___________.”

Jesus CLAIMED the name of GOD “I AM”.

John 8:54-59 54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. 55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

57 “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”

58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

The Jews wanted to KILL Jesus because they understood Him to be claiming to be GOD (I AM).

Everything GOD is JESUS is to us and for us; they are ONE. (Ref. John 1:1-3; 10:30-33; 14:9; 17:11, 21; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:3)

2Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (Ref. 2Peter 1:3-5)
